What is the proper percentage when tipping a hair salon for a haircut?

Minky must be a hairdresser! The proper amount is 15-20%!

What is the proper percentage when tipping a hair salon for a haircut?

i have been wondering that myself

What is the proper percentage when tipping a hair salon for a haircut?

As with any other kind of tipping, I think it depends on how they treat you, what they do to your hair and if the haircut you get is what you asked for. If so, I would recommend 10-15 percent. Keep in mind, if you really like your haircut and you want to come back to this same stylist, be sure to leave a nice tip as this is something that stylists remember. I have heard friends that are stylists talk about the customer who undertipped them and you do NOT want to be that guy.

Good luck!

What is the proper percentage when tipping a hair salon for a haircut?

for a cut I usually tip 10$ for a color or perm I tip $20+

What is the proper percentage when tipping a hair salon for a haircut?

I really don't know it really depends if she did it good and how much you had done.

What is the proper percentage when tipping a hair salon for a haircut?

I think 10% is minimum and Depending on you if you Love the hair cut or color you can decide from there. Especially if you have good conversation and its and overall good experiece. Good magazines to read ,politeness. I have had some of the best times gettin gmy hair cut and colored because the stylist was so cool and had good conversation. You know at the end of the cut but at least 10% no matter what for their time and woRK.

What is the proper percentage when tipping a hair salon for a haircut?

try to look at it in a different perspective, how much do you tip your server when you go out to eat? 10,15,20 %? so lets say your bill is 20 bucks for your meal you leave 4 bucks, 4 bucks for someone bringing you food that you consume in what 20 mins, food that you enjoy for that 20 mins, you dont get to keep it, show it off(unless you count the amount that sticks to your umm..bum), so when you get a hair cut, depending where you get it cut you pay 20 bucks for a cut, 20 bucks as i see it an investment, you get to enjoy your cut, people see it EVERYDAY, its your biggest accessory, so if you like your cut, tip what you think its worth. i dont believe that if you tip someone well they will always do a good job when you come back, a good stylist will always do a good job what ever the tip should be.

Bleach blonde hair???

okay.............. i want to dye my hair bleach blonde so it looks a bit like thishttp://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh231...

I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE HAIRDRESSER!

i want to do it myself, at home

sooooooooooo what do i do and can u give me any tips

btw my hair is mid brown color

THANKIES! :D

Bleach blonde hair???

seriously, i understand you might not want to go to the hairdresser (price, takes too long, etc.) but it is REALLY worth it. some people are good at dying their own hair others are not. how do u kno if you are good at it? also some people choose the wrong type of hair dye for the color that they want and it turns a weird color. some people do it totally wrong and their hair can become raelly dry and fall out. please, if you want to do it the right way , go to the hairdresser and show them this pic and tell them EXACTLY wha tyou wnat and you will get it.

Bleach blonde hair???

thats a good color

Bleach blonde hair???

I've tried it before, your hair will only turn orange. go to a professional.

Bleach blonde hair???

You get bleach and leave it on your hair for an hour. Then wash it out. Voila. Make sure it's BLEACH, not DYE.

Bleach blonde hair???

Go to a sally beauty supply store and ask the person there to give you advice. Feria is a great product and you will spend around 80% less than if you went to a color specialist. You are pulling color from your hair as you would deposit if you were going darker. Make sure to do a deep treatment as bleach is a harsh substance. Good Luck!

Bleach blonde hair???

its a good color

really cute actually

but make sure you get bleach

because the dye will only turn it a orangy color

and you dont want that!

Bleach blonde hair???

That's the colour of my hair, it used to be my natural colour.

When I got older my roots started coming in a sandy blonde. I use a bleach-based hairdye, and I leave it on a bit longer than the instructions say. Sometimes I have to dye it twice to get the colour, if you have to dye it again and it turns a blonde/orange, don't use a bleach-based hair dye, it'll seriously fry your hair.

the best place to go is to a professional though.

When you are putting egg yolk into your hair what are you doing?

Is it helping faster hair growth? How long do you keep it in for? I need tips on faster hair growth, shinier hair, thicker hair thank you so much! And please tell me everything there is to know about putting egg yolk into hair, like what you do before and after and during.

When you are putting egg yolk into your hair what are you doing?

hi eggs make ur hair shine and it strenghtens it. this is a protein treatment. it does work just put the eggs all over ur scalp and hair lenght and leave it in for 20-30 min. make sure u wash it off using a herbal shampoo. do this once a mth because using too much protein in ur hair can break ur hair.

When you are putting egg yolk into your hair what are you doing?

I would put them in a pan actually.

When you are putting egg yolk into your hair what are you doing?

youre making your hair smell bad.

When you are putting egg yolk into your hair what are you doing?

are they fresh or rotten? i've heard of mayonnaise or lemon when it's summer to bring out the highlights, are the eggs cooked yolk head?

When you are putting egg yolk into your hair what are you doing?

above answers are so stupid. well its making hair very shiny and sleek.

When you are putting egg yolk into your hair what are you doing?

It's used as a conditioner for overall protection. I would advise you to see a hairdresser in order to get bes results. They would choose the best conditioner depending on the condition of your hair.Remember that swiching from one product to the other could actually damage your hair rather than protect it.

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

Hey, well I'm a male ginger and I'm bored so I thought I'd dye my hair a darker colour. I tried using the temporary stuff but it just doesn't seem to work. I'm thinking about trying the semi-permanent stuff but I'm not sure just in case the colour doesn't look right.

Does anybody have any tips/brands of hair dye to help me?

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

If you get a medium brown from the clairol range you'll be sorted. It gives great coverage.

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

yeps a razor!

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

get a permanent hair dye nice and easy is a good 1 that will dye it for sure that is the make .

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

Don't dye it black though, you'll look like a meths drinking goth.

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

Nooo, leave that beautiful hair alone!! Ginger bloke? hehehe.

My hubby is one too. I'll tell you, his hair has major resistance to bleaching. A loong time ago, I did it once and a professional stylist did it to no avail.

You may have to just go with a darker shade of red. Auburn or something that may take better.

As a guy, if the permanent color is horrible you can chop it down low. Women can't really pull that off. So get some permanent color and do strand tests using your hair to see if you like it.

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

Dont forget to do the eyebrows!

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

My niece is also ginger. she tried every semi colour and even bleached it. the best colour is a permanant Nice'n Easy med brown, its the only home box colour id recommend and it will cover te copper colour the semi's wont. you can get it in pharmacies, tescos, dunnes etc. keep in mind its a womans hair colour and always do a strand test first to check for allergies, direction are in the box. good luck!

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

Best advice is.......get to a DECENT hairdressing salon (Unisex) and chat with the manager(ess). If they are any good they will snip off a small piece of hair where it can't be seen and do a test on it with the colours of your choice. They should ALSO do a patch test on your skin to see if you react. They will then let you know how your hair reacted to it.....if it is going to damage your hair permanently it will make it fragile or split.....or if you are going to react your skin will show it.....Most importantly TALK TO A PROFESSIONAL!!!!

My son has copper gold hair (Ginger for all you uneducated ones out there!!) and he has always had compliments on how wonderful his hair looks because it shines.....maybe you could try getting some hair extensions in a different tone in instead of a colour......again chat with the professionals!

Happy New Year and happy new hairstyle!

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

DONT, red heads should never try to dye their hair.

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

Black will be to dark.Try a light or medium brunette shade.

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

Your question makes me feel sad.

Leave your beautiful hair alone!

I really hope you're not responding to prejudice by wanting to dye it? :-(

If your dead set on it, why not go to a salon and have some blonde highlights?

All the best.

Dyeing Ginger Hair?

my ex girlfriend was a ginger, and she dyed her hair black, use dark colours, light ones will look like you've not even tickled your hair with the stuff!

Alright, I have a hair twirling problem...is that annoying?

I have a habit with playing with my hair. It's not intentional and I don't do it to look cute. But at church I'll find myself mindlessly playing with the tips of my hair and twirling them. (I am not a hair flipper!)

Alright, I have a hair twirling problem...is that annoying?

I do that too. But my friends (and some guys!) have told me it looks cute when I twirl my hair so I shouldn't worry about it.

Alright, I have a hair twirling problem...is that annoying?

that's not weird or abnormal, usually people do this when they're nervous or bored, its just a dull way to entertain yourself when theres nothing else going on.

Alright, I have a hair twirling problem...is that annoying?

if u put ur hair up hi 4 a couple of days ull eventually stop

Alright, I have a hair twirling problem...is that annoying?

It's not really that annoying. I get annoyed by the people that chew on their hair or put it in their mouth. But twirling it really isn't that noticeable.

If it bothers you, try putting it back in a ponytail when you catch yourself doing it.

Alright, I have a hair twirling problem...is that annoying?

my mother does that ALL i mean all the time even when she is driving! it is very aggreivating. and my best frind does it.

I need help with the best hair straightener for me.?

Ok, I have medium hair about an inch or two below my shoulders. If i don't straighten my hair its a mix of curly/wavey. (perfect for a messy bun) Currently i have a conair straightener with purple plates. I have had that for about 1-2 years and is really starting to burn out. Do you guys have any suggestions on hair straighteners that would be good for me? i don't really want to pay over $60 dollars. USA answers only please. i can't fly to china to buy a straightner. =/

Also, I was considering the remington wet to straight. Any personal reviews?

Also, any tips on keeping hair straight when its rainy or humid outside. ?

thanks soo much girls/guys!

I need help with the best hair straightener for me.?

Go to your local beauty supply store. Make sure it's a supplier, they have products that are used in salons. Get a ceramic flat iron. They are great my hairdresser only uses them, they are quick and less damaging to your hair. Depending on the quality will depend on the price. As the person at the store for their recommendation, but you are going to be at the top of your budget.

I have never used the wet to straight, but be careful, having heat on your hair that long will damage it.

I think I have similar hair as you do so I have a little bit of advice. Now, I am bi racial so the texture of my hair might be slightly different, but mine is really soft with light corkscrew type curls if I were to just wear it. So here is a little bit of advice. Put some V05 in your hair. Just a little bit, maybe a dime size glob in your hand, then run your hands together and run your hands through your already staight hair. This layer of lubricant on your hair will protect it from some humidity. Another thing is to go to an African American or Hispanic hair shop and ask them to teach you to wrap your hair. Basically you just layer your hair in circles around your head, then you can wear a scarf or hat until you reach your destination, then just take out the pins and your ready to go. It also works well when you are sleeping. I found it difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake. I can do my hair in 5 minutes now. And my hair is very long, to my waist when straight.

I need help with the best hair straightener for me.?

Its called a Chi. It's a ceramic iron that works very well on caucasiun and african american hair. You can get it at Sally's beauty supply. They are kinda pricey tho.

How do I get my hair this way?

I really love how this girl got her hair wavey.Any tips on how I can do it myself?

Thank you.

How do I get my hair this way?

This is what i do:

Take a shower

Put your hair in braids, but not too thin and not too thick.

Blow dry it, or if you'd like, just leave them in overnight.

Spray just a tiny bit of hair spray or a little bit of gel on the braids.

Let the hairspray/gel dry and then take out the braids.

That might not work for everyone, though.

How do I get my hair this way?

she probably had it braided.

How do I get my hair this way?

braids before you go to bed and product to let it clump

How do I get my hair this way?

Triple Barrel Roller.

You can probably pick one up at a hair salon or a drug store, wal-mart or target.

It looks sort of like 3 curling irons on one handle, makes your hair look just like that.

How do I get my hair this way?

a will and a comb.

How do I get my hair this way?

After taking a shower put your hair in a messy bun and when you wake up take it out and it will be curly.

How do I get my hair this way?

U CAN TRY AND BRAID IUR HAIR IN A LOOSE BRAID WE ITS WET AND LET I DRY OVER NIGHT.... I DEPENDS ON YOUR HAIR.

How do I get my hair this way?

You can use a triple barrel.

How do I get my hair this way?

braids or a curling iron idk ask her she will no more than us!!

How do I get my hair this way?

Get your hair wet and bend down so that it goes down and isn't against your neck. Then use Catwalk...

Or follow the Catwalk instructions...

How do I get my hair this way?

Well don't make it look so scanky. Wrap dry hair around a large curling iron ( don't use the clamp.) Use your hand and just wrap a chunk around and hold for 14 seconds. Hold on to the end of your chunk so it won't curl in/out. You don't want it to look like you curled it. You want it to look natural.

How do I get my hair this way?

Section your hair and braid or twist it. You may need rubberbands for the ends and leave it in for a while.

Ps. If it doesnt hold you might want to try using a little mousse.

How do I get my hair this way?

Well, when I do my hair like that (very often) I braid my hair, then take a shower and make sure your hair DOES get wet. Then use a blow drier while it is still braded then take is out and let it naturally dry.
