i have been wondering that myself

As with any other kind of tipping, I think it depends on how they treat you, what they do to your hair and if the haircut you get is what you asked for. If so, I would recommend 10-15 percent. Keep in mind, if you really like your haircut and you want to come back to this same stylist, be sure to leave a nice tip as this is something that stylists remember. I have heard friends that are stylists talk about the customer who undertipped them and you do NOT want to be that guy.

Good luck!

I really don't know it really depends if she did it good and how much you had done.

I think 10% is minimum and Depending on you if you Love the hair cut or color you can decide from there. Especially if you have good conversation and its and overall good experiece. Good magazines to read ,politeness. I have had some of the best times gettin gmy hair cut and colored because the stylist was so cool and had good conversation. You know at the end of the cut but at least 10% no matter what for their time and woRK.

try to look at it in a different perspective, how much do you tip your server when you go out to eat? 10,15,20 %? so lets say your bill is 20 bucks for your meal you leave 4 bucks, 4 bucks for someone bringing you food that you consume in what 20 mins, food that you enjoy for that 20 mins, you dont get to keep it, show it off(unless you count the amount that sticks to your umm..bum), so when you get a hair cut, depending where you get it cut you pay 20 bucks for a cut, 20 bucks as i see it an investment, you get to enjoy your cut, people see it EVERYDAY, its your biggest accessory, so if you like your cut, tip what you think its worth. i dont believe that if you tip someone well they will always do a good job when you come back, a good stylist will always do a good job what ever the tip should be.
